The 75 Series, Thomas’ 7.5 ton model features reliable Kubota diesel power. The liquid cooled, 4 cylinder engine puts out a hard working 59.0 horsepower (43.4 kw).

With Thomas you get more reach, dump height and more digging depth. The 75 comes standard with a long dipper arm which provides you a long 22 ft. 6.9 inches (6880 mm) of reach and a full 13 ft. 10 inch (4220 mm) digging depth. With its 15 ft. 2 inch (4625) dump height, high loading is a breeze for the 75.

You don’t have to sacrifice breakout force in order to dig deep. The 75 boasts a mighty 11,668 lbs. (5292 kg.) of bucket breakout force, enough to muscle its way through the toughest digging conditions.

For your convenience or for multiple operator applications, the 75 Series can be equipped with a control pattern selector valve. This allows you to change in seconds the excavators controls to the pattern you feel most comfortable with, either ISO or SAE.

The 75 features precise, light operating, hydraulic pilot operated joysticks with fully adjustable arm rests for total operator comfort and complete control. The excavator features a quiet sound suppressed cab, suspension seat, heater, for all weather operation and an AM/FM radio for all day operator comfort. For added protection the left hand control lever council swings up and engages a safety locking system which prevents unintentional operation of the joysticks.

The 75 features two speed travel which helps ensure maximum productivity. A foot pedal located on the floor of the operators compartment instantly and smoothly increases the excavators ground speed from 1.9 mph (3.1 km/h) to 3.2 mph (5.2 km/h).

When excavating along a wall the boom can be pivoted independent of the excavator housing. Operated by a foot pedal, the boom can be swung 80° left and 50° to the right. This feature allows you to dig in a straight line along a wall or dig a square hole without the need to reposition the excavator.

The 75 Series features a regenerative hydraulic circuit on the excavators dipper arm . Return oil from the rod end of the arm cylinder is ported through a check valve system to the base of the cylinder. This results in increased oil flow to the cylinder increasing arm speed, reducing cycle times and improving productivity.

To ensure cool running in all weather conditions the 75 Series is equipped with a high volume 22.5 gal. (85 L.) hydraulic reservoir and a high capacity oil cooler. This combined with a special return valve which ports hydraulic oil directly back to tank when operating attachments, such as hydraulic breakers, helps keep your hydraulic circuit cool and the excavator productive all day long.

The excavators drive system features a variable flow piston pump drive system. Unlike a gear pump drive which creates a constant parasitic load on the excavators engine the piston pumps automatically adjust both hydraulic flow and pressure to match the load demand. This results in both a quicker response as well as improved efficiency, reduced constant load demand on the engine and reduced fuel consumption.

Compact in size but big on total service accessibility. Open unobstructed space is what you find when you flip up the rear engine cover. For vandal protection the engine compartment door automatically locks when you close it. All other service access covers utilize the same key locking system. For ease of service the 75 is even equipped with a remote lubrication system for the dipper cylinder and centralized lubrication system for the swing frame.

With your choice of either steel or rubber tracks the 75 comes fully equipped and ready for work with no additional add-ons or options required. Horn, work lights, a 20.7 gpm (78.2 L) auxiliary hydraulic system with boom mounted breaker piping, ROPS/FOPS enclosed cab with suspension seat, heater and AM/FM radio plus a 29.5 inch toothed bucket are all standard equipment on the Thomas 75.
